When he became the king, he focused on enlightenment, development and safety of people. He thought that because Jousun didn't have their language, only using chinese which is so difficult to people that only a few people use, it is difficult to enlighten people. So he constructed 'Jiphyeonjun', a research institution, gathered scholars and tried to make the Josun language. And finally, 'Hangul' was created. Because of Hangul most of people could escape from illiteracy. And it contributed to people education.
Sejong also was interested science and many kind of research and encourged them. For instance, he encourged 'Jang Young-Sil' who is scientist, and helped him to make many kind of inventions like 'sun watch'.
He devoted himself to the Josun and people. In korea history, there is no greater king than Sejong. Because of him, me and other koreans are exist.
